For the first time this year I attended the New Jersey Camera Show held at Unique Photo in Fairfield, New Jersey.  The three day event brought over dozens of photographers from beginners to professionals all over Jersey for an opportunity to attend classes, sample and purchase discounted merchandise.

If you don't know, Unique Photo is the largest and privately own Camera store in New Jersey with over of dozens of popular brand products; Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Sony, Olympus, Leica, and more. I rented a Canon EOS 5D Mark III for the first time for my Gangsta Geisha project.

While at the event, I was able to attend two classes: One and Two Light Portraits with Bobbi Lane and Fashion Lighting To Take To The Bank with Lindsay Adler. These two hour classes were $10 each but was reimburst with tokens to be use on purchasing merchandise.

The Photographers at the workshops were immensely informative about studio lighting. I would be setting up my own in-home studio for the winter so taking these workshops definitely helped me and gave me ideas for my portraits.

All the images were shot on my new Canon EF 50mm 1.8
